Terms of Service

1. The service

SPUK is a free online Sudoku puzzle site. You can play without an account (as a guest), or create an account to save your progress, customize settings, and appear on the leaderboard. We don't charge for access, and there are no in-app purchases.

2. Accounts

• Accounts are created and accessed via a passwordless ("magic link") email sign-in — there's no password to set or forget.
• You're responsible for keeping access to your email address secure, since that's how sign-in works.
• You must provide accurate information (your display name, city, and country) if you choose to complete your profile. This information is shown publicly on the leaderboard if you provide it.
• You should be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, please only use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Acceptable use

When using SPUK, you agree not to:

• Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to solve puzzles, inflate your score, or otherwise manipulate the leaderboard
• Submit a display name, city, or feedback message that is abusive, obscene, harassing, or impersonates another person
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data, or to the site's underlying systems
• Interfere with the normal operation of the site (e.g. excessive automated requests that degrade performance for other players)
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose

We may remove leaderboard entries, feedback, or accounts that breach these terms, at our discretion.

4. Your content

Anything you submit to SPUK — your display name, city, country, and feedback messages — remains yours, but by submitting it you give us permission to display and store it as part of operating the site (e.g. showing your name and city on the leaderboard). 5. Intellectual property

The SPUK name, logo, site design, and underlying code are owned by us (or our licensors) and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the site or its code without permission.

6. No warranty

SPUK is provided "as is", free of charge, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the site will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site — for example, loss of saved game progress. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited (such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

8. Third-party links and services

The site may link to or rely on third-party services (see our Privacy Policy for details). We aren't responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example, as the site gains new features. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
